Training program for large non-profit organizations (NPO) and non-governmental organization (NGO)
ABOUT THIS COURSE
You know what your organization does. And, you know how your organization hopes to change the world. But how exactly does each of your activities lead to change? Are you, your teammates, donors, and beneficiaries able to clearly explain and measure this complex process?
Theory of Change is a powerful tool for clarifying how you intend to create and measure change. It’s a foundational strategic process for any organization that hopes to make a measurable impact on the world. Whether you work at a new organization that is just defining its approach or at an established organization trying to improve its programs, Theory of Change can help your team to make better decisions, communicate your approach more clearly, and measure the impact that you are creating.
An NGO or nonprofit's strategy determines whether the organization will be just another social organization or make a social impact. Nonetheless, nonprofit leaders are often unable or unwilling to plan in the short-term to achieve long-lasting social change.
This course will help you develop successful strategies to achieve your organization's goals and make strides towards meaningful impact. You will learn how to undertake the basic elements of nonprofit strategy: defining the problem, identifying the needs and interests of beneficiaries, designing a theory of change and implementation plan, and establishing assessment criteria. With this foundation, you will be able to develop strategies that will ensure long-term impact for your own organizations — rather than just the illusion of results.
